Antique Victorian 1.82ctw Old Cut Diamond and Sapphire Repousse 3 Stone Ring

This is exactly the sort of antique ring that becomes harder and harder to find - beautiful old stones, incredible hand-worked gold and absolutely no interest in being ordinary. At its centre sits a 1.02ct old mine cut natural sapphire, a wonderfully deep, inky blue that changes beautifully as it catches the light. Flanking it are two chunky Old European cut diamonds, approximately 0.80ctw, each with that distinctive softer, lively sparkle we love in antique diamonds. Rather than feeling overly polished or perfect, the three old-cut stones have character  and together they are magic. The broad Victorian band is covered in beautifully detailed repoussé-style scrolling and foliate work, giving the ring texture and richness right across the finger.  Low, substantial and wonderfully wearable, it has the presence of a much larger ring without feeling fussy.
Over a century of character, still very much ready to be worn.
