Antique Art Deco Platinum Old European Diamond and Sapphire Line Bracelet
This is Art Deco doing what Art Deco did best - strong geometry, incredible workmanship and absolutely no fear of detail. Crafted in platinum, the bracelet is built from articulated geometric panels set with approximately 4.56ct of old European cut diamonds. Rather than simply creating a continuous diamond line, the maker has played with shape and proportion - square-set diamonds, a larger round centre, tiny pavé accents and those wonderful arrow-like motifs.
And then there’s the blue.
68 French baguette-cut sapphires form deep royal-blue borders through the design, sharpening all that white diamond and platinum and giving the bracelet its unmistakable Deco character. The sapphires are synthetic, which is entirely consistent with the period - synthetic sapphires were deliberately used in fine Art Deco jewellery. The closer you look, the better this piece becomes. Milgrain edges, tiny architectural details, beautifully fitted stones and increasingly difficult to find like this.
