At its centre sits a GIA-certified 3.90ct natural Ceylon sapphire, completely unheated and displaying a remarkable natural colour change - moving from a rich, velvety blue in cooler light through to violet and purple as the lighting changes. The elongated cushion cut gives the sapphire wonderful presence, while an extravagant double-tier surround of 68 brilliant-cut natural diamonds totalling approximately 1.60ct creates that fabulous vintage burst around the centre stone. The diamonds aren't simply a halo here - they form almost a shimmering flower or starburst around the sapphire. There is something wonderfully glamorous about this ring.
