Edwardian

1901-1914 The Edwardian era began with the death of Queen Victoria in 1901 and continued through the teens. It is a continuation of the late Victorian/Aesthetic movements, with rich, elaborate designs that employ expense and wealth in their design and materials. Popular Edwardian era designs often have floral or bow-forms, dripping in gems such as diamond, ruby, sapphire and emerald. Many of the designers from this time period overlap with the Art Deco, and many can be considered influenced by both era and movement.
