Antique Edwardian Platinum Gold 7.25ctw Old Mine Cut Diamond Pendant Necklace

Antique Edwardian Platinum Gold 7.25ctw Old Mine Cut Diamond Pendant Necklace

$39,995.00Price

Now this is extraordinary - over seven carats of antique diamonds, but with all the delicacy and romance of true Edwardian design. Crafted in platinum, the pendant brings together 18 natural old mine and old European cut diamonds, each individually milgrain bezel set. At its heart sits a substantial 1.65ct old mine cushion cut diamond, complemented by a beautiful 1.20ct old European cut and a further 4.40ctw of wonderfully characterful old cuts. Rather than feeling overly formal, the open articulated design allows the diamonds to move and catch the light independently - giving those wonderfully chunky old facets even more life. The original-style geometric chain is rather special too, with beautifully detailed etched links that continue the Edwardian workmanship right around the neck. At approximately 7.25ctw, this is an important piece of antique jewellery, yet one that still feels incredibly wearable. Old diamonds, beautiful craftsmanship and more than a century of history - this really is an exceptional piece.
