18k Yellow Gold Sapphire and Diamond Wide Cigar Band Ring

A wonderfully bold piece of gold jewellery, full of character and beautiful little details. Crafted in substantial 18k yellow gold, this striking wide cigar band features three deep blue, square-cut natural sapphires, set on the diagonal in geometric bezels. Their rich, inky blue colour contrasts beautifully with the warmth of the gold, while six brilliant white diamonds, totalling approximately 0.36ctw, bring lovely flashes of light across the design. What makes this ring particularly special is the goldwork. The softly textured surface is framed by intricate twisted rope borders, with decorative scrollwork and little gold beads adding depth and character. There is an almost Byzantine quality to the design - wonderfully ornate, yet beautifully balanced by the clean geometry of the gemstones. We love the generous proportions of this piece. At 13.25 grams of solid 18k gold, it has a lovely substantial feel, with beautiful finger coverage and the sort of presence that needs no other jewellery alongside it.
