Vintage Platinum Pear Fiery Australian Opal and Diamond Unique Ring

A beautiful vintage piece centred around a 2.50ct natural Australian opal, cut into a wonderfully plump pear-shaped cabochon. Its soft white base comes alive with flashes of electric green, aqua, blue and touches of warmer colour as the ring moves - exactly the kind of play-of-colour that makes opal so captivating in person. But it’s the setting that really makes this one.
Rather than a traditional halo, the opal sits within an almost sculptural platinum design, with diamond-set curves sweeping around the stone and a striking row of baguette diamonds at its base. It feels part Art Deco, part mid-century and completely individual. Set with natural diamonds that give just enough brilliance without competing with the opal.
