Vintage 14k Gold Diamond Blue Enamel Flower Brooch Pendant Necklace
Now this is vintage jewellery with personality.
A beautiful openwork flower radiates from the centre, set with nine natural round brilliant cut diamonds totalling approximately 0.75ctw. Each diamond appears almost suspended at the end of a delicate golden stem, creating a wonderfully light, dimensional design. Framing the diamonds is the detail that really makes this piece - a scalloped border of rich cobalt-blue enamel, beautifully contrasted against warm 14k yellow gold. The combination feels wonderfully decorative without becoming overly ornate. Perhaps best of all, it was designed to be worn in more than one way. Part brooch, part pendant, it can be pinned to a jacket, lapel or scarf, or suspended from a chain as a striking necklace. There is something particularly lovely about these convertible vintage jewels - made in an era when jewellery was expected to be played with, styled differently and actually worn. Diamonds, enamel, gold and versatility - this one has rather a lot going for it.
