18k Gold & Silver Top 1.53ctw Emerald Cut Collet Set Ruby Solitaire Low Ring

There is something wonderfully old-world and a little moody about this one. At its centre is a GIA-certified 1.53ct natural ruby, emerald cut to show off its rich purplish-red colour. Rather than surrounding it with diamonds, the ruby has been given centre stage - held low in a beautifully simple collet setting. The blackened silver top creates a dark, almost antique frame around the ruby, making its colour appear even richer, while the slender 18k yellow gold band brings warmth and contrast. It's a combination often associated with much older jewellery, recreated here in a wonderfully wearable contemporary ring. Low to the finger, understated in scale, but certainly not ordinary.
